About Yoku
Yoku Fans was started during the COVID-19 pandemic with the mission of bringing bladeless ceiling fans to the mainstream market. Modeled after Tesla's Turbine, we reversed the original design to intake air from the center and expel air from the disc periphery. This creates an inverse cyclonic vortex. Together, with a group of engineers, the team recognized the potential of incorporating UVC LEDs to the concept and invented a dual directional lighting system, enabling a safe methodology for air sterilization and coronavirus inactivation. Such a system achieves an optimal air sterilization methodology, allowing for cool white LEDs to maintain ambience while simultaneously emitting the sterilizing properties of UVC light parallel to the floor, affecting each air molecule that flow across the discs
