About Us
Who we are and why we started
Yoku Fans was founded by Ron Sasonov. The design for a Yoku fan is inspired by Nikola Tesla's Turbine but modified to achieve optimal air circulation in a ceiling fan solution. Ron was formally an analyst at the UBS Investment Bank. Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, he realized the potential of incorporating UVC LEDs for sterilizing pathogens in conjunction with the unique airflow pattern created by a bladeless fan. The potential to save lives and materially reduce carbon emissions in the world motivated him to take the project forward to full-scale production.

Our Product
What we're building
We manufacture the world's only bladeless ceiling fan with UVC LEDs. A Yoku fan moves air using discs instead of blades which draws air up and around, rather than chopping air down, as with traditional ceiling fans. This has several advantages, including a smooth and comfortable breeze, radically reduced HVAC consumption, temperature homogenization, and odor and staleness elimination. When outfitted with our patent pending UVC lighting system, each air molecule flows past sterilizing UVC LEDs which can inactivate microbes, pathogens, and bacteria, including human coronaviruses.

Our Mission
Where we're going
Our bladeless fan is uniquely positioned to materially reduce carbon emissions in the world while restoring safety in all of your favorite places. HVAC systems are typically responsible for 40-50% of your total electric consumption. A yoku fan can reduce this load by up to 42% by reducing the temperature maintenance cycle time through temperature homogenization. That said, we'd like to continue actively educating consumers and businesses worldwide to understand the impact of our new technology.
